Helping Others Gets Recognized Nationally
Those of us who work with Tony at the Pay It Backward Foundation know how incredibly generous and hardworking he is. And we love it when his amazing drive to make the world a better place is recognized!
Recently, Sertoma gave out its annual awards to outstanding philanthropists across the country, and our very own Tony March was honored.
Tony was selected by the local Sertoma chapter as its Service to Mankind regional winner (Southeastern/Caribbean). Then, at the Sertoma national convention in Kansas City, Tony was crowned the national Service to Mankind winner, among six other regional nominees.
βItβs humbling to be recognized like this,β Tony says. βWhat I enjoy most about these celebrations is talking with other recipients, people who are giving their time and their talents to improve life for others. Itβs energizing!β
Sertoma is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss. It provides technology and scholarships, and education and awareness.
Tony received a plaque that reads, βin recognition for exceptional efforts and contributions to further the Sertoma Missionβ, and a check for his foundation.
βIβm happy to put that money to good use at Metropolitan Ministries,β Tony says. βThereβs always someone in need of a brighter day.β
